While “Green Building” is a phrase that seems to be everywhere as of late, NuTec has been designing energy-efficient, sustainable buildings since our inception.  In the mid-1980s, we designed one of the earliest thermal ice storage systems in the country.  Our current staff make-up includes several LEED Accredited Professionals and LEED Green Associates, and multiple projects have been designed to obtain certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.  As a full-service company, we are able to easily apply the “Whole Building Design Approach” required for successful sustainable buildings.  Further, our in-house capabilities include the ability to provide the commissioning services required to obtain LEED certification.

NuTec's staff include professionals with LEED accreditations in all primary disciplines.

Buildings in the United States are responsible for 39% of CO2 emissions, 40% of energy consumption, 13% water consumption and 15% of GDP per year, making green building a source of significant economic and environmental opportunity. Greater building efficiency can meet 85% of future U.S. demand for energy, and a national commitment to green building has the potential to generate 2.5 million American jobs.
