This unique project provided NuTec's architecture and MEP group the opportunity to design one of the largest hospitals in Afghanistan. The 96-bed hospital was designed under an expedited schedule, and NuTec worked with the US Army Corps of Engineers Afghanistan Engineering District. Unique to the country, this hospital also contains health care areas for women.
Fully-integrated architectural and engineering design for a new Community-Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) adjacent to the Kimbrough Ambulatory Care Center at Fort Meade. The healthcare facility includes multiple general and psychiatric exam rooms, clinical laboratory, and spaces for ophthalmological and audiological examination. It was also designed to be the first LEED Silver Certified CBOC in the country.
NuTec has provided integrated architecture and engineering design for three renovation projects at the Coatesville VAMC. These included a new psychiatric long-term care facility within an existing building, renovations of existing space for Alzheimer’s care, and creation of a new central pharmacy for the campus.
Full engineering and interior design services, as well as owner's representative throughout construction, for a major new 107,000 sq. ft. sanctuary building with seating for 2,700 people. Essentially a "performing arts church," known for its theatrical programs, the building contains a one-million watt Broadway-grade sound system and one-million watt theatrical lighting system.

NuTec Design was commissioned to provide full-service architecture and engineering for a 57,000 sq. ft. renovation and expansion project at the headquarters for an automotive company. The scope entailed high-end lobby, customer experience center, training and conferencing space, cafeteria, and kitchen.
NuTec has completed several projects for a major federal government contractor, including two employee cafeteria upgrades to create inviting, aesthetic spaces that encourage staff to interact while playing a role in staff recruitment and retention. Detailed renderings, from multiple vantage points, allowed corporate management to make timely project decisions.
This national snack food company experienced a period of major growth, necessitating an expansion of their corporate headquarters. NuTec was commissioned to provide architecture and engineering, under a design-build arrangement, in support of a three-level, 32,000 sq. ft. expansion with private and open offices, lunch room, conference rooms, and training space.
