NuTec Design proudly announces that Taryn N. Gilvey, EIT, and Zachary J. Smith recently achieved Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Associate certification from the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).
A LEED professional credential, awarded by the USGBC, signifies an individual is a leader in the field and an active participant in the green building movement. A LEED Green Associate designation indicates an individual has a documented, up-to-date understanding of the most current green building principles and practices.
Taryn N. Gilvey, E.I.T, a Structural Designer, recently earned her LEED Green Associate credential upon successful completion of the exam. She graduated from Penn State Harrisburg majoring in Structural Design and Construction Management Technology and has almost 4 years’ experience in the field. Her responsibilities with NuTec include designing new structures, reviewing and analyzing existing structures, and developing construction models.
Zachary J. Smith, an Architectural Designer, recently completed the exam earning his LEED Green Associate credential. He graduated from York Technical Institute majoring in Computer Aided Drafting and Design and is currently attending Academy of Art University to obtain a Bachelor of Architecture. He has more than 2 years’ experience and his responsibilities with NuTec include architectural design, construction document development, surveying, BIM modeling and acting as Lead CAD Operator.
