We have an immediate opening for an engineer in the Structural Department in the York, PA office.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

· This position will serve on multiple project teams, make major design decisions.

· Prepare studies, reports, and produce complete structural construction documents.

· Design various building materials and systems.

· Meet, communicate and coordinate project requirements with owners, architects, and other designers and contractors.

· Prepare specifications in AIA Masterspecformat.

· Prepare structural constructionestimates.

· Review shop drawings.

· Monitor structural construction progress,conduct field inspections and prepare reports.

· Mentor junior staff.

· Manage multi-discipline project teams,schedules, and budgets.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

· BS Architectural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Structural Design and Construction Technology degree with a structural emphasis with a minimum of 5 years progressive, technical experience in a consulting engineering firm designing building structures.

· Must have excellent communication skills and experience in preparation of structural construction documents and project supervision.

· A Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.

· REVIT experience a plus.

Candidates must have experience working with AutoCAD or Revit. Revit proficiency is preferred. Utilizing Autodesk software to provide support to Architects & Project Managers by preparing detailed drawings. Duties will include developing architectural Revit models, creation and configuration of sheet sets, views for deliverables along with the generation of PDFs and plots for issuance to clients.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create Revit models based on designs and information generated by our Architectural staff

  • Produces Construction Documents in compliance with Client’s requirements and production systems

  • 3D model generation/adaptation

  • Modifies drawings by studying changes; redrawing assemblies, components, and parts; changing annotations; following redline instructions.

  • Work closely with Architects/Engineers/Project Managers to ensure jobs run smoothly.

  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree in related field & 2+ years’ experience (or) HS Diploma 3-5 years’ experience in architectural drafting.

  • Experience with Autodesk Architecture and/or REVIT Architecture required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Excellent communicator, assertive, highly organized, determined to succeed, detail-oriented and enthusiastic.

  • Ability to conceive new approaches and streamline processes

  • Strong time-management skills with the ability to multi-task.

  • Ability to recognize and solve problems without direct supervision

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Proficient in AutoCAD Architecture and/or REVIT Architecture, Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • 3D rendering/drafting experience is a plus!
